Hi all,

I just shot some new Impossible spectra colour film and some new Impossible spectra Black and white film in 2 different cameras.
I noticed the colour pics look sharper. Is this a difference in film or do I have one camera that takes sharper pictures than the other ? Has any one noticed that the new Impossible Black and white film is not as sharp as the colour? Thanks

From experience they both are sharp so I would say check the lens, and try shooting the films the other way round (colour in the BW camera and BW in the colour) then you can see.

Obviously, what youre suggesting could be the case, I only shot the early films and a few a few months ago

I agree with Jake. Flip flop cameras, and film, and see what you get.

Shooting with my SX-70, I don’t see any significant difference in sharpness between B&W or color film. I do see a difference between my 600-series Polaroid One Step and SX-70, with the SX-70 being sharper, most likely due to a much better lens on the SX-70.

Thanks

Thanks

when I finish my black and white pack I will put in another colour and compare the 2 cameras. Either, one of my old spectras has a really nice lens or this new spectra colour film from impossible is pretty sharp( For a polaroid ). Either way I am impressed

......Maybe. Is that fixable or is it new camera time ? However, the image is softer on all planes overall

If the focus is off, it probably can be fixed. Impossible and MINT, and others, work on these cameras. You’ll know more once you switch film and cameras and retest.
