I picked this camera up on ebay about 2 months ago, but just decided to use it yesterday. It is very well made; better than my canonet. I also think the lens is much sharper, but then again it is slower. It has a 45/2.8 Tominor. Anyone looking for a really sturdy fixed lens rf sould concider this camera.
Here are some example pics. I cross processed my film, that is while the colors are crazy.

So am I. Very easy to use, and mine even has a working meter.

I should have kept my mouth shut. The camera went a locked up this afternoon. Won´t wind on. It seems to be something or other to do with the double exposure locking mechanism. Anyone any experience with unjamming one of these? They were also sold as the Wirgin 19E, and a couple of other re-brands too.

If you like these, you'd enjoy the Ricoh 500 and 519. Same lens design, better chrome finish and neat trigger advance. Great user from the 50's.

Indeed. The lens is a beaut, I noticed the number of aperture blades when loading film the other day. I've not shot it wide open yet, but it should prove interesting.
With respect to the jamming, the previous owner agreed to take it back, but I don't think I'll find another in the same shape. Not with hood and filter at least. I remember there being a screw or something rattling around under the top cover, which disappeared once it jammed. Putting two and two together I gave the camera a couple of knocks with the palm of my hand (hoping not to knock the RF out of adjustment) and the screw (or whatever it is) came loose and lo and behold the winder now works again. It will most likely happen again, but I will be keeping it, looking for a repairman in the mean time. This is one lovely little camera.

Another picture of the little thing. You can see the RC emblem on the hood top, an item rarer than the camera itself. This thing I'll be keeping.

Rangefinder pictures on a budget: Camera: The Royal 35-M; Film: ERA100; Developer: Caffenol-C-M. Results? Not half bad, IMO.
