World Peace, right-wing hate-mongers imploding in their own supply-and-demand conundrum......
Ha, ha! I can agree with this!
A new set of irons. My current set of Top Flites are going into their 14th season and simply don't fit my game anymore. I had them custom fit and now have a much different swing than I did when I was 28. I have scored well over the past couple years, but I need to make too many compromises in my swing to get to the correct positions to hit the ball cleanly like I used to.

In 2009 I want a . . . .
~ ... Canon 50/1.5 in decent shape for which I do not have to pay.
~ ... better life.
~ ... way to make a living with my photography hobby so my wife doesn't keep razzing me about the time I spend taking photos, scanning photos, editing photos, posting photos, as she mockingly refers to me as "picture boy" (I think in a humorous not-entirely-serious put down).
~ ... better understanding why we Americans put punctuation marks inside quotation marks while Brits put them outside. Are the British just a bunch of contrarians?

• I wish luck to the fine folks who aim to continue Polaroid, and also that they consider creating a Pos/Neg film that doesn't require a bucket and chemicals to fix it.
This would be nice too

As requested in the opening of the thread, I would throw caution to the wind and buy a Hasselbad SWC/M. And I still search for the Voigtlander accessory double shoe.

Leica MP and a Leica 35/1.4 ASPH in black.
The 35/1.4 ASPH would be my speed lens.
The MP would be my main M and my current Wetzlar M6 would become my second M body.

I am willing to forgo my own selfish requests, if somehow the evil could be undone to those who are suffering that did nothing wrong.
I also wish that those who commited crimes of fraud that hurt people get punished SEVERELY.

Used (but perfect working order) Bessa T and a nice compact 35mm lens to go with it. Still hoping one or the other or both show up in the classifieds soon.

Shooter of Film...
In 2009 I would like to shoot more B&W with either the Yashica Mat 124 or 4x5 View Camera...
I just picked up a Kodak Ektar 127mm 4.7 lens for the 4x5 and I want to see what this piece of glass will produce...I already have shot and developed three rolls of Neopan 120 (400ASA) so now I need to print some of these negs...
A Photo Project for 2009 would be fun...but what???
