I thought it might be cool to take a moment to recognize positive contributions by other members here at RFF. It could be for any variety of reasons. Given the nature of this community I'm guessing I am not the only one who would like to thank someone else here by shining a positive light on them. In my case I wanted to call out a few members whose photography has constantly proven to be an inspiration to me. I would add that I have definitely found inspiration in the work of many others here on this forum besides these three. But when it comes to those images that I find myself returning to look at time and again these are the three individuals that really stand out to me.

Simply put, when I stop to think about it over the past couple of years I've gained a lot of knowledge here and I'm certainly thankful for that. But gaining inspiration that feeds back into my own photography and fuels new creative thought seems every bit as significant to me if not more so.

I should also thank CameraQuest for bringing this forum to life and just as importantly for keeping it up and running. I really appreciate the time, effort and money that you've put into this place. Last but not least I would thank the Moderators here as well. Too often the unsung heroes of any online forum.

Robert is a great person and a really valuable member in my personal experiences here.

Helen is always super positive and I am not alone saying we really enjoy her company.

Erik has a point of showing us what great cameras these old rangefinders can be while executing a degree of excellence in his process that is most enviable.

RFF is a great community.

My guess is that Robert, Helen or Erik could be handed most any type of camera and they would still be able to create truly wonderful images. The way that they are able to combine great composition with interesting subject matter while capturing the impact that light plays on all of this speaks to the importance of the person behind the camera. Good stuff.

My goodness, what kindness and consideration! to read and feel such appreciation from my virtual colleague back in the Pacific Northwest. To be named in the company of Erik and Helen, whose work and skills have taught and continue to teach me, and many others.

Thank you, my friend. Thanks too for setting a beautiful example of collegial homage. I hope it inspires others to spend more time thinking and writing this way for everyone’s benefit.

Whilst totally agreeing with the preceding posts may I add Chris Crawford. His posts are always beautifully exposed and composed and his technical knowledge is awesome and his powers of explanation are exceptional.
