Hi guys,
I don't know if this is the right place to post this. I'm going to be in London over the next couple of days, and would like to know the good photographic shops to visit!
I'm looking at both RFs and maybe a small compact like the lx3 or g10.
help would be appreciated! thanks in advance
cheers,
Shaun

Shaun, I find your screen name insulting to my many canine friends, some living and most dead. Around 1974 there was this little shop around the corner from Euston tube station...

Payasam, there are some that read too much into nothing. Every single person i have communicate with has found it amusing. I have come up with that name because of the way canines love to leave their mark as they go for walks. i own 2 myself. I find it extremely silly, and almost insulting to me for thinking i would be so low and childish as to want to insult anyone or anything. I have no time for that, my time is spent taking photographs.
but thanks anyway.

thanks tedwin
most of these are leica stores. Few sell digital compacts or specialize in them. Any ideas? I will check them out. Thanks so much!
Cheers,

Hi
Jacobs in New Oxford Street are well worth a visit. Large selection of compacts and very good secondhand display. Nearest tube Tottenham Court Road.
Enjoy your visit.

thanks everyone for their help. I bought an LX3 today from the classic camera at pied bull yard near the museum.
funny thing, i went to Jessop's to check out the G10, and the sales person actually told me:
"Get the G10 it's much better than the LX3. For one, it has almost HD quality video, the LX3 doesn't. It is also better than the LX3 because it has a wide angle."
That's when i knew he was clueless about what he was selling, and decided to leave the shop. He then said
"It's okay, you're the loser."
He probably meant it in a joking way, but it just gave me the impression he wasn't a really smart person. I absolutely hate it when camera salesmen try to sell things they have no clue about.

I think you have made the right choice. I played with my friend's G10 and was really not too impressed. Still the same noisy Canon which cannot go beyond ISO400. The LX3 is less noisy but has a better lens (probably because of its shorter range).
BTW, I have no quibble with your screen name. Though I may mistaken you for your friends if you start doing what they do in the streets! I love them.
