In My Dreams...

I've never encountered ISO400 film overexposure problems with the Minilux at 1/400 and even the Hexar at 1/250 (of course the latter goes to f22 instead of f16). Don't these values just touch EV16-EV17 values, which is in full sun?.
You're right. Both f/16 @ 1/500 and f/22 @ 1/250 are EV 17. Most C-41 film can stand a stop or or so of overexposure anyhow without blowing out. It is very tolerant of overexposure but not underexposure. I saw the facts and figures on this somewhere; it may have been at the Kodak site.

As I understand it clear film is very hard to get detail out of and hard to control in printing. Therefore overexposure of chromes is bad and underexposure of negatives is bad, both for the same reason - too much clear film.

OF COURSE

I still remember my dream about a visit to a sort of 'Photokina'. There, there was that ZI cabinet where the ZI RF camera body and ALL lenses were priced at $250. In my dream I didn't have enough hands to grab it all, pretty much like when you grab a bunch of fruits in the marketplace 😀

One of my camera dreams involved getting my hands onto a camera which was something like a cross between a ZI and a grey R2A. It was really PRETTY in a classic way and the viewfinder had to be seen to be believed! Plus, the patch was big, bright and contrasty.

Another one involved one about watching a photograper taking wedding pictures of a bride with a MF Rollei camera outdoor with soft beautiful sunlight

Whew! I'm glad i'm not the only one who has camera dreams. None of my other friends have camera or photography dreams. 😀 I was beginning to think i was alone. Gulp!
