In praise of older women...or

I think you should do a nice prtrait of her as well.

The XG-1 is a nice reliable camera. It won't do anything without a battery, that's why they were originally sold with a small spare battery holder that attached to the neckstrap. Once the battery works, it is a real gem of a camera. I keep a 45mm lens on mine which makes it an easy fit into a briefcase. I use it for documenting work sites and projects when I travel.

That's what that is! For the life of me I could not figure out what it was for (thanks Paul!). It was in a container along with all the other do-dads that originally came withe the kit. So far as a portrait goes I wish I was accomplished enough to do that for her but... Anyway, I have let her know that I am at her service, and she seems happy with the arrangement 🙂 So as a recovering P&S snapshot kinda guy do I understand right that the 90's are basically for portraits? I put the lens on last night just to check it out and it was incredible, the close focus was stunning! Am I right in assuming the mag filters would go with this lens?
