Incorrect serial number?

When I try to looked for my m4-p serial number (1533144) I found mine is in the group of the m4-2. What does this mean?

According to Chester Sartorius that is an M4-2 number. Maybe someone had it converted to an M4-P. (The M4-2 and M4-P are essentially the same except for the framelines.)

Oh oh, you're not thinking of the old saying, "aunque la mona se vista de seda...", right? I wouldn't worry about it. I'd check here; just type in your serial number, and maybe you'll get the "official" answer...
