Hello All,
I'm traveling to Indonesia next month for work and hoping to get some good travel pics while there. I've been traveling a lot lately, basically all for work, and still trying to figure out the best way to go about things gear wise. I have a couple different set-ups available. In any case I use Fuji Velvia 100F as my emulsion of choice.
Possible Equipment:
Canon FTb with FL 28/3.5, 35/2.5, 50/1.4, 135/2.5, 200/3.5; ext. tubes
Canon EOS-3 with 24-105/4 L, 70-200/2.8 L IS, 1.4 Extender, 550EX flash
Voigtlander Bessa I w/ 105/3.5 Color-Skopar
Thoughts:
I'm trying to decide if I should just be happy with what I have or if I need to examine some other options. I realize a RF kit could replace the FTb and probably save some space/weight; but how much and at what cost? The EOS-3 is quick and accurate, great for wildlife and fast-action, but conspicuous and the body+2 lenses takes up as much room or more as the whole FTb kit.
Shooting the Bessa I makes me wish I had a Bessa II so that I could more accurately/quickly focus at short distances/wider apertures. I love the 6x7 slides it produces and it's about as compact as it gets. This makes me wonder if I should look at a Mamiya 6 or 7 which would sort of combine aspects of the FTb kit with the format of the Bessa. The Bessa will probably go along with either of the 2 35mm kits.
Thoughts? Advice? If you've been to Indonesia, are they camera-friendly? Anything I need to be certain I don't miss? Will likely be seeing a lot of the country...
Thanks in advance!
