It came with the very first camera I managed to repair. A Fed 1g. That’s what started my hobby. The lens was sharp, contrasty and gave nice colours. Should have the photos somewhere.
Mark, is your lens coated? I have an uncoated version, that has the blueish aperture blades and has a slightly shorter body, than the I22.
It is a great lens on B&W film!

Yeah, this one is indeed coated. Even on the early FED2. Some of my earlier FED 1 bodies definitely have a lovely uncoated lens too. Although, I’ve not noticed if they’re shorter extending. I’ll have to double check that !
Recent acquisition FED/I-10 (F3.5-F16) coated, M240, in-camera B/W jpg mode, assorted yellow/green/orange filters
DIY CLA, adjustment, tuning; spot-on Leica focus calibration without any adjustments by me
I brought this because it uses the same filters as my Summaron 35/3.5 LTM and my Elmar 9/4 LTM, complimentary vintage rendering too.
