The thread on the Fuji Natura camera has me very interested in getting a p&s with a very wide angle fixed lens, something in the sub hundred range (used is fine) with a very wide angle, and decent glass.

I've had many cameras, film and digital, but never anything wider than 35mm, though one of my digital cameras zoom lens starts at 35, it is pretty bad performing at that setting. My film camera lens also start at 35mm and 50mm. I could get a WA for my film SLR, but I'm looking for something small to carry everywhere.

Thanks for any ideas.

A hundred sterling? dollars?

In the UK you can pick up a used Ricoh GR1s for less than a hundred pounds - 28mm, f/2.8 lens. Jessops had one in excellent nick for £65.

strange - on eb*y GR1s (from UK and other EU countries) sells for at least two times more pounds... sometimes three times more...

£65 for a Ricoh GR1s in excellent condition?! That is an amazing offer! In taiwan the same $ can buy me a new R1s(30/3.5), but that's all.

I'd love to get a Fuji DL Super mini (Tiara II in Japan) , cool looking camera with sharp 28/3.5 fujinon. However, it's no easy to find one for sale these days.

Thanks all, have some cameras to look out for. btw, the Fuji super mini dl FA from Austria is for sale in Austria only.
