Exhibition in St. Ingbert , Museum am Markt, Am Markt 7

Willy Ronis "La vie en passant"

19.Febrauar . - 7. Mai, Di bis So, 10 -18 Uhr

150 Photos, as I assume the same exhibition as in Paris, Hotel de Ville, which has now ended.

For all who don't know him:
Willy Ronis has been one of the great protagonists of La Photographie Humaine, from the 30s to the 70s, and tho his name was less well known as HCB or Doisneau was outside of France his art is at least on par with the work of the best and sometimes he exceeds them. He lives in Paris, more than 90yo, the last photog of an exciting period of European photography.

Highly recommended !

Where is St. Ingbert? Doesn't ring a bell at all. 🙂

Close to Saarbrücken , from Amsterdam about 450 km.

It is only some KMs away from the this place

Völklinger Hütte

where at the time an exposition shows early nudes from the 19th century and where you can visit the old Völklingen Steelwork, World Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO,where I shot these photos last August:

and these, two years ago

IMPORTANT: If you want to see both exhibitions AND the historic plant you must choose a date after the 9th of April , because the plant is open for visitors from this date on !

Best to stay overnight in Saarbrücken, they have a vivid Altstadt around St. Johanner Markt, a lot of pubs and restos.
