I know it's fall. I know that cold and rain are *supposed* to happen in fall. My question, though, is this: why does it always have to be on my day off?

Squeeze all the rain and wind out of that storm that you can, it is heading my way tomorrow.
 
Put an orange filter on a camera loaded with B&W and shoot a lot of pics of stuff being rained on with lots of sky and clouds.

Well, I have tomorrow off...so I'm hoping for sun and decently warm weather tomorrow. I want to go out of town on Old Highway 20 and shoot the wind turbines again. I want to grab a certain shot or two again...this time with no double exposures.
 
I'm going to take my Canon P and the Agfa Billy (now that I know what it is). One roll of Plus-X and one roll of Reala for the Canon and a couple rolls of Neopan for the Agfa. I'm going to be doing a bit of Rodinal developing.
 
Cool! Ive been using Rodinal lately and am really liking it. Hmm...Im going to have to look up that Agfa Billy you mention, don't know it.
 
Mine is apparently early...very early. Late 30's early. I love old folders and I'm pondering yet another one...but this one will be a coupled rangefinder. 6x6. Mamiya 6. ;) I hear the Zuiko lens on those is nice so I've been wanting to try one. An Email to Igor will be in order as soon as I complete my next sale. ;)
 
Hey, I have a Mamiya 7 body if youre interested. ONly thing is that it literally is just a body. Works fine, just no lenses or film door. I think you could get one from Mamiya but I just havent tried.

Just looked up the Billy. Looks like a fun camera to shoot with.
 
Heh, this is the Mamiya 6 of the folding variety. Older, but still has a coupled rangefinder. An interesting camera to say the least.

I've been interested in the Mamiya 6/7 bodies but can't (or more likely, won't) spend the money on one before I finish getting my Canon P kit to where I want it. I think that I'll most likely go to medium format with folders and my Ikoflex. ;)

And...I already emailed Igor of this fine establishment inquiring as to the condition of the user Mamiya 6 IV he has. I know I shouldn't have done that, but curiosity killed the cat (and the pocketbook).

oh...hehe....I know what you mean about the cost. The Mamiya I have was kinda a freebie and I might get it together at some point. But as you know the lenses are crazy expensive. Outta my league now too.
Im happy with my Bessa R and Olympus XA for now.

how to tell it's the weekend? it's raining

how to tell it is a holiday? it's raining and it's NOT a weekend

goes without saying vacations are when the weekend AND holiday rain connects for continuous rainfest
 
Wet surfaces have interesting texture, reflection, and color... Take advantage of wet weather to take shots appropriate to lower-contrast lighting, or indoors illuminated from a nearby window. Less likely to get blown highlights, and the colors can really click! Think different... :)
 
Eh. I could go outside right now and take photos of the lights 'reflecting' off the wet streets. I love those shots.

Right now it's looking like at least part of the day will be spent with my sisters and my dad going out to eat for my sister's birthday. She'll be 21 on Tuesday, a grand occasion worthy of taking a few photos. Also, I don't talk to my dad much anymore and I've been meaning to remedy that. It's a good chance. The 'mills may be off tomorrow, but I still have things to shoot.
