Some more images from today with the Pixii. Link to the post on my website if anyone wants to see more. The camera performed well and was fun to use.

I quite like it so far. My only issue has been the strap lug breaking off. David from Pixii emailed me back and said that based on the internal images I sent him, I have an older model and had the original strap lug design. They have since updated the lugs and now have a more secure locking pin so it can't happen again. He offered to fix my camera under warranty, even though I bought it used, if I shipped it to France. I'm holding off for now to see if I can wait until I can opt for the Max full frame sensor upgrade too or if they can just send me the parts to replace it myself.Pixii is a good camera, period.

David has responded to each and every question I've had, it can just take some time. That isn't a complaint, but an admission that it is an extremely small company and he is stretched thin. I knew what I was getting into when I purchased a Pixii and I love tinkering with things, so yes, I am really enjoying the camera. My experience with David is that he is a stand up guy. He is trying very hard to get this little French camera company into the black. I have liked mine since I got it, the A1571. It makes good images. That is what I got it for. It has some quirks. OK, it has some quirks. But on balance it works well. I do have to send it off to David for the FF upgrade along with the upgraded RF. I have gotten good images with it and am interested that it will do a RAW mono image. Yeah, it uses some tricks to do it. It makes RAW mono. David and his mecs are a clever bunch. I am glad you are enjoying yours as much as you are.
WiFi is not required to get the low-res preview images from the Pixii to your phone. Generally, if I have the camera (A2572+) turne on (WiFi off) and my phone app running, the camera syncs up with the phone app within a few seconds. Then, if I take an image on the Pixii, it will be sent over the phone via Bluetooth within 5 seconds. This works correctly 90% of the time. On occasion, I'll see an image start to get transferred, but then it just shows a gray square and an exclamation (!) to signify that the transfer failed.I picked up a used A2572+ and have been playing around with it. Pretty cool camera. Has anyone figured out how to get more than preview files on their phone using the Pixii app? I have WiFi enabled and no luck.
Sorry, to be clear, I didn’t mean the low res preview. My question is how do you get the full resolution file onto your phone?WiFi is not required to get the low-res preview images from the Pixii to your phone. Have you done the Bluetooth pairing of the Pixii to the app from the instructions? Here is a link that could help: Pixii - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Once I read your message a 2nd time, I see where I messed up. There are 2 ways to do this.Sorry, to be clear, I didn’t mean the low res preview. My question is how do you get the full resolution file onto your phone?
Interesting. They are both on the same home WiFi network, but I am still only getting the preview. Weird. Also, is there a way to shoot and get both a JPEG and DNG? Or is the choice only between JPEG or DNG?Once I read your message a 2nd time, I see where I messed up. There are 2 ways to do this.
1. If your phone and Pixii are connected to the same network (such as home WiFi), then the app on the phone should pick up the Pixii on the WiFi network.
2. If there isn't a common WiFi network, then you can use your phone to setup a WiFi Hotspot, which you then connect your Pixii too.
I've done both connections and haven't had any issues. Once that is done, then when you are viewing an image, you can click an arrow icon to pull down full res files or even the DNG.
In the app, the camera tab should say if it is connected via the WiFi or Bluetooth. If it is on WiFI, you have to go into each image and then click a circular arrow icon to tell it to pull high quality files. I dont really ever do this either though. I just use the low res thumbnails to check exposure.Interesting. They are both on the same home WiFi network, but I am still only getting the preview. Weird.
