I don't know much about it. I live on the other side of town, and was just passing through the neighborhood to get somewhere else when I saw it and stopped. I carry a camera at all times in case I see something interesting. There was no one around when I took the photo. I did another picture of a sign leaned against the back of the building that said "Free hot meals for the needy" and it had hours and days when they do this, so it looks like they're involved in trying to help the poor in the area. I'll post that picture as soon as I get done editing it. I scanned a bunch of new stuff tonight.

birmingham is only ninth in the nation now in murder rate, Chris. quite an improvement, but still, there were 65 murders here in 2009, more than one per week. in 2003, 85. the change in chiefs appears to be working ...

Is that just that neighborhood or the entire town? We're lucky to be back down under an average of one a day city wide. (Philly)

That area of town. The rest of the city is actually almost crime-free!
