Introducing the Leica M 10-R

In 1996 I walked into Portland's Camera World intent on buying an R6. I already had an M3. After handling the R6 for a while, I became really disappointed with the imprecise bouncy feel of its 50/2 Summicron R.

On a whim, I tried the M6 with its 50/2 Summicron. Bright viewfinder, smooth focusing, crisp aperture ring selections. Easy choice: I bought my first M6.

I do have Leica SLR's and R lenses now, but they still don't feel as good as M lenses.

M forever! Love it!

I asked a past Leica executive whether I should buy an SL (there was no SL2 then) or an M10. He wrote me "you are an M person" .

I listened to his advice.

I think lot of people like it and some are ready to get it and trying to get rid of their last purchased M10/ M10-P. Etc.
I don't have any problem with that but as far as the Photography concern we need tools to do that. It can be a tool for somebody who needs Lot of pixels. According to the level of photography, some photographers used 35mm and some worked with Medium format and also some others used view cameras with film sheets.
I am sure this camera is using a lot of technology from bottle opener to voice-controlled operation.
End of the day that is what people want and Leica has been able to replicate all their near needs to comply with their demands.
But good photography needs more planing more thinking processes and a more creative process. DIGITAL CAMERAS GIVE YOU A FREEDOM OF BEEN LESS WORRIED OF EQUIPMENT MASTERY TO FOCUS ON CREATIVE PROCESS.
So in any M camera, you have that relationship and they are all good tools.

I truly believe the term for " Horses for Courses "
Well done Leica. !!:)
