ioora hood on summicron 35 v4(7-element)

I assume you mean the IROOA not IOORA?
Its a standard A42 fitting, so there should be no problem to use it on any 32/2 with a 39mm filter threaded into the lens. It was the hood for the v1 35/2 which had a 39mm filter.
Why? Is it a aesthetical decision? I'd imagine the square hood would provide better flare protection.

I have the IROOA for my 35 2.8 Summaron.
I use and prefer the 12585. It is vented and obscures less of the visible scene than the solid IROOA.

The IROOA hood, the vented 12585 metal hood and its plastic Canadian clone aka the 12538 hood will all vignette with the Summicron 35/2 V4 and cannot be used on this lens. The same with the aftermarket knockoffs of the 12585 hood.

Only options for the Summicron 35/2 V4 are the dedicated square plastic hood and the 12504 hood (and any of its aftermarket knockoffs).
