iPhone check ?

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I didn't find a better one:

I just bought a iPhone on eBay, and I'm going to pick it up later. It's a iPhone 3GS 32gb.

Since I never had a iPhone before, I'm not sure what I should check ...

E.g. I think the memory capacity is mentioned on the back, but the back can be changed, no ? How can I check this ? Anything else I should check ?

Check in Settings, General, About where you'll find the storage capacity which will be around 30G. Check when you call someone that the proximity sensor inactivates the touch screen.

Check the mechanism of the SIM card tray. It's spring-loaded; you insert a special tool into a little hole and the tray slides out. If the spring is broken, you have to yank it out by angling the tool diagonally into the little hole with a bit of force.
