IR or lens coating issue

For what it is worth this is my first foray into the RF/Leica world so I'm working through a few things.

Is the photo color rendering due to not having an IR filter on or is it a coating issue? This lens does have a lot of miles and the front coating has some issue but no scratch on the front and small in the rear.

The set up is M8 with Elmarit-M 28 2.8 Leitz "Made in Canada" on the front of the lens. It was a bargain bin lens so if this is not due to the milages of the lens I'm good to go..if the fix is post adjustments or filter I'm OK otherwise I may have to return it.

IR Issue with green leafs. If you intend to convert everything in bw, then leave the filter away. For color, get a filter.

Thanks so much! I like the lens so far...just picked it up yesterday. And it is a beater for sure but took a chance on it. It had the hood too.

I'll post some I converted into BW over in the right thread.

So I guess I need to find a UVIR...I have one but it is a 39
