If so are you encountering any problems?

My venerable V700 is not playing nicely with my i-Mac. I uninstalled the Epson drivers and re-downloaded them from Epson's site and started from scratch but to no avail. The scanning interface disappears from the desktop during scanning and reappears at completion ... all I'm getting during scanning is the small progress window. The other issue is the scanner constantly hangs between scans when scanning a series of images and the only thing that gets it going again is clicking on the Epson scan symbol in the start/shortcut bar. It doesn't always do this but it means I can't set the scanner to scan a series of negatives then walk away because it may or may not stall .... but it stalls more often than not so I can't leave the thing.

This is damned annoying and I'm not sure what to do next .... VueScan maybe?

And what is making it even more frustrating is I'm in the middle of scanning a large collection of old negatives for a friend .... about four hundred of them ... blah!!!!!

Hello Keith,

Not sure what to tell you, I have upgraded to the latest OS - El Capitan on the day it came out and haven't had a single problem. Having said that, I have the Japanese version of the scanner, the GT-X900 but it is the same scanner from what I know.

I just went ahead with the upgrade from the App store and the scanner continued to work.

I'm on El Capitan and don't have issues with my V700. However I'm using Vuescan. I haven't tried scanning using the Epson drivers.

It's all good.

I uninstalled epson scan and then installed the latest version.
If there is a difference in function, I have not found it yet.

My V700 since El Captain update is stuttering at every single frame scan, and it stops entirely if Epson scan progress window is not on the foreground. It will start again once I click on the progress window to bring it on the front. This is with the latest Epson scan version...thank you Apple for making our lives more interesting with every update.

That's precisely what I'm getting .... and **** it's annoying! :bang:

I contacted Apple support and they suggested doing a PRAM reset. They also told me that Epson are aware of scanning problems with El Capitan and are suppsedly addressing them. The fact that it was ok on the previous operating system wasn't an issue for them .... they obvously think it's Epson's problem.

My solution may be to either try VusScan or just use the scanner through my windows Toshiba laptop as I was before I got the mac. It was perfect!
