Is Nikon feeling it?

And what's so surprising about Nikon lenses in general? Glasses, camera, microscope, cell incubator observation, digital pathology, binoculars.

Nikon's microscopes have long been well respected in the science and manufacturing world. Their H-series portable field microscopes are, I believe, regarded as the best practical implementation of the folded light path system, designed by John McArthur.

I have a pair of specialised computer spectacles from Nikon, required by my somewhat odd eyes. They work as well as one might expect.

Fuji was smart enough to copy leica, Nikon and canon, just dragging behind. Read Mr kaufmann`s interwiev:" How can you make money by designing products that are discounted two-three months from introduction and replaced by a new model every six months..."

And don't forget that Olympus doesn't make money on their cameras, but makes plenty on their medical scopes business to support the rest of the company.

Hi all,

I went to Walmart today and happen to go by the Eyeglass store
they have their and the two sales people had a button which read
"Ask about Nikon Lenses" So I did. So for $167.00 dollars you can
get Lenses made by Nikon and put them in your eyeglasses. So
I'm asking is Nikon Feeling the pinch and has to sell eyeglass now
to make up for loses in the cameras or other reasons???😱

its just smart marketing to make an extra buck. Or in some cases, kill an extra buck. Leica has been selling spotting scopes and binocs to help kill things for decades while they make a profit off the slaughter.

Nikon has been making eyeglass lenses since 1946. So this isn't anything new.

I had Zeiss lenses in my previous glasses but went with Nikon SeeMax lenses this time. They are excellent lenses. Clear, sharp, and two years on not a mark or scratch.

I need glasses and don't want to have laser eye surgery. I buy good glasses and the best lenses possible. Why wouldn't you? I wear these things all day every day.
