I was just wondering how many of us are carrying a camera around with us most of the time. Personally I hardly ever leave home without one. For me it usually is a Konica (C35/S2/S3), or sometimes a Canon Powershot A590 - unless I am going out with the purpose of doing a little photography, in which case it is either an FSU rangefinder or a digital SLR.

I used to carry a Mamiya 135EE (almost the same camera as the Konica C35) in my pocket, lately it's been the Pen EES-2 I bought a couple of weeks ago. Larger cameras are for weekends or special occasions.

I'm looking forward to having an Oly/RC around if the mailman will ever get it here.

I'm hoping I made the right choice in buying one of these instead of getting my 35GT a CLA.

Interesting how many people carry film, despite the fact that digital cameras are so small these days. I used to carry a Casio pocket digital everywhere. Now it's a Leica Dlux4.

I carry one film camera with b/w film everyday, anywhere I go, typically M6 with 50mm or 40mm lens. If the space in my bag is really limited, Rollei 35 will go out with me.

I just came back after some errands and had a Pentax MX with 40mm lens with me. 400iso B+W film

Yesterday, while out buying photo paper, I took a couple of snapshots of a Triumph TR6 parked outside a store.

Leica M + Noctilux or 35mm Summilux-M everyday. My mobile-phone is my "digital-backup" for everything else, has a 5MP digital camera, GPS, internet, email, mileage-cards, point-cards, dictionary, TV (and SD card video recording) included so no need for a "digital P&S" or any other electronic devices ... :)

it depends on the day, but usually something smallish... M3 w/ collapsible summicron, Zeiss Super Ikonta A, Rollei 35T, or Pentax MX are the most common ones to bring out right now... sometimes the Contax G1/G2 if I feel like a little automation (less and less now that I have the M3 though).

My digital camera is a pentax K10d, even though it's a small DSLR, it's still bigger than most of my film cameras. (Speed Graphic not included....)

I'd be interested in seeing a version of this poll based on where people live. I suspect that people who live in urban environments, who are more likely to walk or use public transportation, carry cameras much more often than people who live in rural or suburban environments and drive almost everywhere. I'm in the latter category. You can't drive and take pictures at the same time.

When I shoot, it's almost always at a location I drove to. Once there, I'm out on foot.

I am usually leaving the house with my Panasonic LX-3 or my Minolta CLE with a Rollei Sonnar 40 in the pocket.

My EDC is mostly medium format (Bessa 66, Bessa RF or Fuji GA645Zi), with the occasional fixed lens 35mm rangefinder or point and shoot thrown in - in particular at night thanks to their faster lenses.
