I try to carry my Bessa with me everywhere I go. With a roll of Tri-X in it, and bottles of Diafine at home, I'm set for any light.

I always have a camera with me. Depending on my mood it'll be anything from a Balda Baldessa 1a to a Mamiya Rz67 Pro II, with the CrappyCam on my phone as backup.

I always have something with me. Mostly an RF, sometimes something else. That can be anything from a 35mm P&S to my Elan IIe.

I'd be interested in seeing a version of this poll based on where people live. I suspect that people who live in urban environments, who are more likely to walk or use public transportation, carry cameras much more often than people who live in rural or suburban environments and drive almost everywhere. I'm in the latter category. You can't drive and take pictures at the same time.

When I shoot, it's almost always at a location I drove to. Once there, I'm out on foot.

I take pictures with my little pocket digital all the time while driving. At least it's safer than texting and driving!

I feel naked if I go out without my RD-1. I'm saving up for the Nokton 50/1.1, seeing that it's a nice all around lens, good for lowlight, and bright light :) Though it's size doesn't make it that portable anymore, if it still fits in my 5xb along with my wallet and cellphones, no problem :)

I take the rangefinders with me sometimes (Leica IIIC, Yahica GSN, QL-17), but the Canon SD780IS is always in my pocket. Smaller than a credit card (thicker, of course), this little black camera can be nearly invisible. It's great on the street.

Cheers...

I usually have a Rollei 35 S or my Lomo LC-A+ with me. I've got a Konica C35 on its way and I might make that my everyday carry camera. It is hard to beat the size of the Rollei though.

My Olympus XA is living in my little rucksack that i take along most days. I sometimes forget it's there, however...

My Contax T3, attached to a cell phone clip, hangs on my belt most of the time. Even so, a roll of film can last me a few weeks.

I usually have my Leica Minilux in my pocket or bag. I've been taking it with me on walks/jogs during lunch.

Always have a Mju-II or (occasionally) Zorki-1 in my bag, and mostly a digi p+s from Canon but the batteries are always flat if I ever try and use it.

I'm rural/suburban, not a lot of opportunity unless I pull off the side of the road, and heavy commuter traffic on narrow roads can make that dangerous. :(

I usually carry a IIIf w/Elmar 50/3.5 when I know I will have opportunity; but not on the daily drive to and from work.

Either the Contax T2 or Olympus XA (depending on mood) follows me everywhere I go. If I need something wide or tele I bring my digital Ricoh GX100 with me. To me the XA & T2 are like nice sharp knives whereas the digital is like a swiss army knife.

I now almost always carry a small digi with me (Canon A590IS),
but for years it was an Oly XA or a mjuII/Stylus Epic in the same belt pouch.

But... I always have a full 35mm kit (or two) in the car, securely cushioned and nestled in a large Coleman cooler locked in the trunk.

Plus, there's a Konica 'tough-job' armored, weather-proof 35mm super point-n-shoot stashed away in the consol with an insulated wrap.

No problems, even in the Washington DC summer heat.

One of the camera types I'm looking for is the ideal every day camera. I wish that the Rollei 35S had a rangefinder or that the Leica IIIf had a meter. (I mean built in.)
