Hi. Longtime lurker, first time poster!
Where does a person go on this site for Konica Hexar RF info? Seems odd that there's a forum for nearly every rangefinder made but this one....or am I missing it?
Does anyone know where to get good service for the camera? I just dealt with Sony for the first time and came away less than impressed.

Hi! As far as I know it would fall into "other", but I for one would love to have one!

Shaken, so blurred
I was told to post in the Leica M forum, since its an M mount camera.
There are a few Hexar RF users around - some of them may have some advice. But as the owner of an "orphan" I'm resigned to just hoping nothing goes wrong.

Yeah there should be a Hexar Forum.
Also maybe place Cosina, Voghtlander and Bessa into one. Because it seems they are all the same?

My Hexar RF had been serviced by Ken Ruth - Photography of Bald Mountain (baldmtn@pacbell.net).
I was not impressed with the KM service in New Jersey even before Sony took over, but others had good experiences with them.
Greg Weber (www.webercamera.com) is the guy to go to for KM service.

First of all it's a rangefinder, than it's M-Mount and made by a company which had close ties to Leica once. So why not posting in the Leica M forum?
Especialy when there are not much Hexar Rf owners and as far as I know a lot of them have Leica Ms, too.
I don't understand the wish for specialization, it began with my professors who tried to specialize as much as possible so that they one day don't only know a lot about a little but everything about nothing
Oops, disregard the bit about the close ties to Leica, it wasn't as close as Minoltas and they merged much later.

Thanks for the repair tips, Ray, I'll check them out.
It does seem a bit odd that the RFF has fora dedicated to the Zeiss Ikon, Canon and Voigtlander but not the Hexar RF. I'd bet there are more Hexar RF's out there than the Zeiss camera by several fold, at least. With the AE and motor drive it makes a great 'point and shoot' that takes Leica glass!

That's easy, in the old days when this forum was founded there where no Hexar owners, even the diversification between Leica M and Leica LTM is pretty new.
