Is this a good lens for M6?

What I am looking for is a good sharp lens with shallow DOF and great bokeh. This is not the best for sure, but is it at least a good lens for a M6 TTL?

Yes, it's a good lens. Stop it down to 5.6 and you probably won't even notice a difference in quality compared to the other 50mm's.

I'm thinking of getting either a 50f2 cron or 50f2.8 elmar for myself as well.

It also has the smoothest out-of-focus rendition of the 50mm summicrons wide open. Plenty sharp. Watch for scratches due to the softer old coating, and haze on the glass.

The KEH prices are a bit high, though. You can get it for less as it comes up quite often in the classifieds.
