A colleague of mine on another forum has this cam in the family -- it was given to her father and she learned photography with it. She's wondering what it is. It says "Made in Germany" on the bottom but the logo is too faint to read. The design looks Zeiss to me.
Can anyone ID it?

It may be a Balda made for a Dept. Store chain such as Porst. I honestly don't recognize the model. It's post 1956, going by the Prontor SVS and selenium meter.

Similar lines, but I think the knobs are a different style. I still lean towards ZI -- I *think* I can just make out the ZI logo on the front right of the cam but am not certain.Solinar said:How about a King Regula, courtesy of Herr Google.

Would Zeiss have made a camera body and NOT used one of their own lenses? I would expect a Tessar or other Zeiss lens on a Zeiss Camera. Did they ever use lenses from Enna (or other smaller companies) on their less expensive cameras?
