Very long distance before the rear element - is this correct? Looks strange but maybe it is...
I just bought this, I wasn't going to but the glass looks very clear. I hear it's hard to get correct focus but I can adapt it to my A7 II, I hear it gives great sharp images, even though it doesn't seem very popular.

Looks correct. Looking at Peter Kitchingman's book, the 135/3.5 is only a four element lens, with the elements all bunched up front. And it was a popular lens too, with over 50,000 units sold.

On mine, the distance from the edge of the screw mount to the surface of the rear element is 39mm with the lens focused at infinity.
