Hi All,
As many CV lens users here know - CV black lenses - most or at least some of them lose their paint rather easy with just light to moderate use. So, I wounder would Cosina take care of it for free? I mean it really sucks when you get a brand new lens and within a year it looks like it's well used even if it's not. Would warranty cover it? WHat about lenses that just out of warranty? I mean I have (or have had) some Hexanon and Leica lenses that are far older and seen more use and paint is there just like new. I think CV should stand behind it's products, even if it's just brassing/paint loss.
WHy bother? I know some people do like that well used look to their Leicas, but when it comes to selling your lens, brassed one will bring less money than one that looks new, given that glass and mechanics are the same. Or am I wrong here?
Any thoughts?
