...maybe it's not sad if he's happy with his painted lens.
...maybe it's not sad if he's happy with his painted lens.
all-in-all, if painting his lens makes him happy - i'm happy for him.
😛
i'm also happy for the driver of the teeny tiny compact car with a three foot tall spolier/wing on their car, i'm happy for the guys or gals i see fishing in their thirty+ year old tri-hull boat and for those in the new '08 bass tracker deluxe. i'm happy for the guys or gals that pile on so much chrome and lights on their motorcycle I'm not sure if there's anything under it all and the guy down the street that suits up like an nfl lineman everytime he puts on his rollerblades. i'm happy for -but would rather not hear- the rolling boombox on four wheels that's behind me at the stoplight. but, arrghh, sometimes i think...what are "they" thinking??
then i think about different things i'm doing, thinking, believing, etc and groan/smile/just shake my head/guffaw/snicker/blush/etc. i'll also think about the past - what i did, or thought or believed. aaarrgghh! thank goodness there wasn't a camera or tape rolling.
i think about what i've learned - and am still learning - from my wife and parents about grace and how it applies to my interaction with the world about me...it's only taken me five and half decades or so to "get it" ...and i'm still working on it (and the middle path).
maybe the man was driven (thank you advertising hype meisters) to paint his lens white so he could "keep up with the joneses" because he couldn't afford/justify/etc newer more modern equipment. who knows? if he's happy with that ... i am happy for him.
i think the op showed a generosity of the heart for that man with the painted lens that the world could use more of.
on a lighter note...you can now buy a solid white holga on ebay....
