He says he digitized a Konica Auto S3, but the link-backs don't work, so maybe this project became a dead-end. An interesting execution of a conversion, but it shows what I had wondered about on other possible conversions which is how many compromises does one have to go through just to take a photo. Much easier to purchase a tried and true OEM build.

The Konica was a success and the basis for the M, though just APSC.

Do you think that using a Hologon 16mm/8 with such a modified M3 will smear the edges just like it does in the M9 or M240?
Is there something different with a different sensor?

No, he finished that project. It came out really well done IIRC. Still definitely a bit of a cludge, but a fun technical excerise as someone else stated.
