Is this the period correct case for my GSN?

This is the case that came with my GSN. It fits well and is in excellent condition but it looks more like the case on my Minimatic S or the Lynx that I bought recently.
I may need to hunt down a proper case as my GSN is a Hong Kong model and I am sure those cases are different.

All I know is that my GSN case (which I'm pretty sure is original) looks very different. Mine has embossed mat black venyl. My GSN is a Japan one (I think). this eboy auction has a picture of a GSN with the case I have.

However, yours looks a lot like Alfred's Electro 35 case.

If you scroll down a bit on this page of the Yashica Guy website, you will find the picture of the GSN-kit as it was sold. It shows the bottom half of the ever-ready case. Notice the embossed material.

I have an original case - it looks exactly like Alfred's Electro 35 case. Your 'Yashica' logo looks different with out the Atom symbol, so I guess the case may not be original or for the GSN?

The case you get may be from other model, but surely not from the GSN. The one you have is pure leather. The GSN (at least those imported to Argentina) were just vinyl, and had the atom sign in the front. The one you have is IMO far better than the vinyl type.

The case you show belongs surely to the 60´s or early 70´s. It´s the same style as those made by Canon or Konishiroku in the mid sixties (thick molded leather), probably as G´man said it belongs to a Lynx (or a Minister D).

Different strokes, I guess. I'm kind of clown that tries out the Kiev case on my Contax. It fits, BTW - and the strap isn't broken like on the Contax one. I just want the damned thing to protect the gear!

Oh, and say, doesn't everyone here really want a Luigi on his/her favorite camera?

It's not that I don't like the leather case (most of my Ricoh's have these high quality cases as well) I just want a correct example because someday ( she doesn't know this yet) all my beauties will be in a glass cabinet so I can look at them when I want.
And sticky little fingers will not be able to reach them. 😀
