I live in Rome. Which has become a third world megapolis.
Utterly chaotic traffic is the least of the problems.
Yesterday my neighborhood was closed by the police for a bomb alarm at the Aldo Moro and his escort memorial (Italian politician who was kidnapped and killed by the red brigades)
And I decided to try ars-imago which is not so close from where I live.

I'm shooting both digital and film and I mostly want to see the result NOW.
Immediately. With digital it's handy to directly see the mistakes and redo at the moment of shooting.

With film, you have to be sure, work more precisely, more in the moment, more mindfully.
Waiting for a result means patience. It does something with you when you're naturally more nervous.
No more busking, hurrying, no more "have to".
I think it creates a better mindset, to learn to be patient, to learn to relax and de-stress, unwind, rewind, release button.

Sometimes it's nice or even important to know that the photo was OK and those little histrograms are a splendid idea.
