Following my last thread, I would like to have your opinion on your choice of ISO. What is your favourite selection for daily capture? Tks.

  1. ISO 100
  2. ISO 200
  3. ISO 400
  4. Others

400

400

Hello:

Iso 400 for "street photography" hand-held with a slower 50mm lens f2.8/3.5. Indoors/outdoors with a faster lens, f1.4/2, iso 400 again-HP5 most often.

With "good" light, I prefer 200. That is my normal rating for TX. 400 is a bit fast for controlling DOF, but others may find it preferable. I also might use 100 (e.g., APX) if I'm going for a different look.

400 for lower light situations.

All this assuming b&w film.

400. Just trying some Provia 400 for fun, but normally Delta pro. Sometimes FP4 if its a really bright day.

100 delta good light normal day to day film

400 delta OK light

800 (pushed HP5) poor light

3200 Delta bery bad light

400 ISO (always B/W)for film but since the RD-1 ISO varies more so I may try XP2 or something similar if I use up whats in the freezer.

Regards
Steve
