Hey all, just fitted new curtains and ribbons to my iiic. Both were firing, but now I have a problem.
First problem - when i wind on and release the shutter manually with the spring lever on the brake, the shutters get stuck - now i dont have the spring plate fitted properly or anything else for that matter, and i did notice that the shutter button does come into play even without the spring plate fitted (so i think im missing understanding with how the shutter button engages a gear down below somehow) - I reckon once I build up the mechanism more this will hopefully sort itself out.
Second problem - there is no delay between the two curtains when they do fire. Again im hoping this is more down to parts not being built up yet. Curtains are roughly tensioned at 50 and 100 turns as per nobbysparrows guide just to get it working. Im hoping again that fitting all the bits (sping plate, winding bits n pieces etc etc) is the cause.
I know im probably being a bit thick, but does any of this sound familiar?
Im planning on building it all back up tonight and re-testing. failing that Ill have to think about starting over with the curtains and ribbons - all the placements and sizes are exactly as they were before, like for like, but im wondering if I was overzealous with glue and stitching and now things are binding.

Seems Im jumping the gun by manually releasing the shutter improperly, and most likely stopping pawl 3 from doing its job and stopping pawl 8. So I need to build the mechanism up properly and also double check i havent moved something out of its alignment. That should be my issue with problem 2.
I initially suspected that my rather not-so-neat stitching was maybe pulling the second curtain with the first, but the pawl 3 and 8 should prevent this - only im not allowing it too at the moment.
