Well, sentiment side, what I was getting at was items I cherish as irreplaceable

In short (aside the Rollei) I really do not believe that I could replace/improve the above items which is my point.

There's a difference between replace and improve. Billinghams can be replaced. If my shiny new 225 with extra inserts is anything to go by, the new ones aren't too shabby. (It'll probably take about 5 years to break in...)

Anything will go for the right reasons, but determining that RIGHT reason is the tough part, and I try not to decide that lightly.

In general, I feel more attachment to the gear I spent more time with, spent time/money to fix something, and modified a lot to fit my own preferences.

I have a hard time imagining getting rid of my M4 and 35mm Ultron. I got rid of almost my entire collection of various film and digital equipment after I bought it. Even had Bruce Gilden sign the inside of the bottom plate when he gave a talk in Toronto a few weeks ago! I don't think it would appeal to a collector, and I've grown quite attached to it!

I have made the experience that I really should never say "never" when talking about selling items, but there is some gear I would only sell if I really needed the money badly:

EOS 5D (a bit battered, so worth much more than I would get for it)
Sigma 15-30 (replaces all the other wide angle lenses on the 5D)
Steinheil Quinaron 2.8/35 (a present from my dad)
Canon EF 1.8/50 II (a present from my wife)
Leica Summicron-R 2/50 (I love it!)
Nikkor-S.C 1.2/55 (has my initials)
Nikkor-H 1.8/85 (surely one of my best lenses)
Vivitar Series1 2.3/135 (a present of a friend)
Pentax Spotmatic SPII (a present of a friend)
Yashica Electro 35GS (a present of a friend)
Sony NEX-3 (I just love this cam!)
Leica C2 (one of my fav film cams)
Agfa Super Silette Automatic (a present of an uncle)

My camera gear is no different than the various tools I keep in the garage. I attach no sentimental value to any of it. Keeps all of my lenses on their toes - knowing they could be sold on a whim.

My Canon TX w/50mm f1.8. My first real camera back in 1976. Got me started on this wonderful journey. Don't use it anymore, but couldn't bear to sell it.

Everything else, if I get a good offer, it's gone.

Recently purchased ala carte M7. Made for me and only me. My first M--M3. I'm debating about selling my F6 because I don't use it. I just sold my Mamiya 7II and a ton of 120 film. I didn't think I would sell the 7II.

Actually selling photo kit at the moment, with need dictating, and have quickly discovered there is nothing photographic I own at present that I will not sell. I'd like to keep my M3, but if it has to go, it has to go. I'm not sure I could bear to part with a camera that was my constant photographic companion, but I have quickly learned none of my photo kit, is that to me at present.
