I don't like the results I'm getting developing it myself. So I'm hoping one of you lot has a good suggestion...

Thank you for asking, I've been scouring the internet for an answer, too! Hopefully, someone comes along and helps us out.

Soon there will be a shop converting Instatax with Polaroid SX70 rollers. After the first run, customers will complain the images are uneven and have them updated with rollers from the SLR 680. The images will still not meet their needs, so back to the iPhone and Polaroid simulation.

TBH not even my Kodachrome went there back in the day. It went to Kodak Melbourne. From Singapore.

Simple: Feed it back through the rollers for a second pass. The development paste will be squeezed back into the pod and then re-spread when it's ejected again. Squirt color dye through the slot for filter effects.

That’s funny. BTW, I am about to finish my coffee and walk outside. What lens should I take?

Cameras. I has it.
Maybe with Instax you can do what I do with Impossible film.
I use the Schrödinger's Cat method of development: the photo is exposed (and ejected), but not observed. Thus, the image is superposed in two states simultaneously: a good or bad image. As long as I continue to not observe it, I can believe the image is good. Only when the photo is observed will the wave function collapse to reveal a good or bad image.

I don't like the results.
But I don't want to hate the results.

Depends on how much and what type of agitation. You could throw in a ball if you want more grain.
