Well, let me start from the beginning.

I went to Sydney Olympic Park (home of the 2000 Olympics) today to view a railways display and to test a camera and lens I had recently purchased, as well as finish a roll or two of 120 film.

I was just standing there chatting to this guy who was using a new digi and talking to him about photography in general and using my Moskva at the same time.

Then this guy comes up and asks if he could look at the old camera I had in my hand. He as ked if it was a Moskva as I was handing it to him, to which I replied that it was.

He then pulled ou a Zorki-4 from his bag and showed it to me. I then pulled my Zorki-4 out of my bag. The guy looked at me with a bit of a grin on his face.

He asked if I was on the Rangefinder Forum, to which I said I was. He asked my nic and I told him it was Heath. He then told me his....

It was none other than our very own Tarzak.

We chatted for a while and when I showed him my J-12 he mentione dhis had been ruined by someone scratching the rear element. I then showed him my Fujica ST605N with Helios-44M. Tarzak remarked that the lens looked very nice. I told him I got it as part of a FS-122 kit that this guy had bought and never used, so it was in as new condition. A very nice lens indeed.

Tarzak then said he had to go as he was meeting some friends. So we said our farewells and parted company.

It would have been nice to chat for longer, but when people are waiting this can be difficult to do.

I wonder who I will 'bump into' next. First it was Chris N at the camera fair, now Tarzak. Both seem to be very nice guys. People who I would be honored to spend time with on a shooting spree (photography outing).

You could become the Canon Ikon for the new century. (humour)

Wow, would that be a merger. Think of the possibilities, a Zeiss Ikon digital rangefinder with the sensor out of the 1DS Mk II, or a 16-35 f2.8 L on a rangefinder.
