hey joe,
what are the implications of the vertical alignment being slightly off?? if the horizontal is good does the off vertical just present an annoyance or is focus going to be terminally off. my P fell off a low table onto a wood floor and now my verticle is clearly off........................................

If vertical is off, you can still focus, especially if there are vertical lines in the scene. Watch out for diagonals, though -- with vertical off, if you line up a diagonal line, you'll be focusing on the wrong point.

Make sure that the horizontal isn't also off, though -- the fall could have altered that, too.

It's hard to keep up with the dark side... some say it comes in the form of digital, others of german camera equipment manufacturers. The dark side comes in many disguises, all of wich are very tempting 😛
