"Its in my hands again..."

Where did you see it?

Nikon Rumors posted a picture that shows some of the lines of this camera:

I think it looks great, I´ve seen the video and another photo in this promo that shows a camera strap like the leather strap I have on my FE. I´m hoping for a body like the F3 or FE/FM-ish with a split-screen for manual focusing, would be great.

Looking at this picture, I don´t belive that it will be a digital version of the S3, but more like a classic Nikon SLR.

Looking at the picture it's a Classic Nikon Slr look but more F4 style than F3 meaning black carbonate and plastic.

I agree with the previous poster the slogan does sound a bit perverted or maybe it's me

No, no, it's definitely an advert for a double barreled shotgun. Nikon must be going after the Purdey market. You can hear the cartridges being loaded. Explains the way he is dressed, no sane photographer would brave the Highlands without Goretex 😀

Ha ha, might be more than a grain of truth there, the shutter on my FM2 bore more than a passing resemblance to some sort of firearm being discharged.. 😀

Seems like a cool idea, but it will still be massive with a decent 35mm f/1,4 lens mounted. Thats the only problem I have with my 5D.

I tend to agree. This camera in reality isn't going to offer much over my D700 aside from the form factor and if that really is important I guess you'll cough up the money. I've discovered that due to it's very good viewfinder my D700 is an excellent camera to use with a manual focus lens and aside from menu complexity is quite intuative when shooting if you're comfortable with the command wheels etc of the modern DSLR. I don't crave aperture rings, shutter speed or ISO dials personally.

This is a style exercise to attract customers to a diminishing (DSLR) market and if it works ... well and good. 🙂

As for the teaser add ... that is very well done and will attract customers for the same reason any of those types of ads do. It's offering a scenario that is romantic but unrealistic ... and it's been hooking customers since time began! I'd love to be in that location with my carefully ruffled hair and a three day growth to compliment my finely chiseled features, all ready to capture nature at it's finest ... and definitely with a 'faux' film camera in my manicured hands! 😀
