I'm going through a big Islay whisky phase at the moment. I've worked my way through several varieties from Bowmore, Caol Ila, and Laphroaig, and am now working on a bottle of Lagaluvin 16 Years. Next up is something from Bunnahabhain, Bruichladdich, and Ardbeg!

My favorite right now is a home grown one - Yahara Bay Whiskey. Distilled and aged here in Madison & made from all Wisconsin grain. Very mild and mellow, just fine as a sipping whiskey. The micro-distillery boom is hightly enjoyable
