Now after reading this thread for 6 pages...and never seen or heard about R-d1..I think Im going to find the used one ...
Always heard about M8..but this beauty looks amazing...maybe i can still live with the 6.1mp ....even my samsung galaxy at 8mp..lol

It's a fun camera ... 6.1 megapixels is a bit weeny but the RD-1 is more than the sum of its megapixel count.
Anyway ... as we all know it's not the size that counts, it's how you use it!

someone earlier in this thread mentioned that when he goes out with his r-d1, even though it's a digital camera he takes about the same amount of pics he would with a film camera.
i find when i go out shooting it turns out the same way.
the r-d1 really slows down your mind and makes things a bit more contemplative. the camera itself is not slow, it can photograph just about as fast as you can wind the lever.

Within the limits of the small buffer. In raw mode, 3 shots and wait......the camera itself is not slow, it can photograph just about as fast as you can wind the lever.
