Hello,
I've thought to let some "fresh air" come in my Contax/Kiev outfit: since my 1937 Contax-II needs to be checked and cleaned (I do care it, since it was bought new from my grandfather and used during and after WW2, until I've inherited it), I decided to buy a Contax-IIa.
I think I've been lucky enough to find one nere in Italy, fully cleaned and inspected, series U 2088, with Zeiss Opton Sonnar 1:2 50 mm.
I confess that the "feel" is quite different from the earlier Contax (just one detail: the focusing wheel rotates in the opposite direction), but it's very comfortable anyways.
Sunday, I'll leave for a trip to Switzerland and try it.
Best wishes,
E.L.
