So I am new to rangefinders this year. Got myself a Bessa T and a J3 50mm 1.5. I don't have a viewfinder yet so this roll was all focusing then guessing on the actual framing, so forgive me for lack of content, I really just wanted to make sure I was getting focus on and metering on.
Below are a few that to me showed this lens is a keeper, especially for the price. Cant say much about the bokeh yet, but th sharpness is there.
Now time to get a finder and shoot some color.
And to get better...

Those are sharp images - what did you use to scan them ?

Actually these are not even the greatest scans. I used my local Wolf Camera, and they had to send them to their headquarters in ATL because of the type of film (B/W apparently is not developed in standard photo shops anymore...).
So they scanned them at under a meg each, so barely even 1000 x 1000. I am going to have to start considering investing in a good scanner and just coughing up the money to get film developed and scan at home. I asked them after the fact how much it would cost for a higher res CD, and even for 8 x 10 res (their highest) it would cost me $16 for a 24 exp roll... lol! Ridiculous...
I may not shoot a ton of film yet, but I want to, so those fees will add up quickly.

Pitxu said:Hi,
Sharpness and contrast looks great to me!
In the first pic the faces have rendered very well.
I really like the second shot, you should put it in the gallery.
Pitxu.
Thanks Rich, I have a lot to learn in terms of shooting B/W scenes and looking for good tonal opportunities (that sounds wordy...). I have been shoooting color for so long that I am not used to thinking about what my naked eye sees in monotone terms. It has generally been a post processing thing for me till now due to digital format.
So with RFs and film, I get the chance to really learn about these techniques, and have been reading this forum for a while now trying to pick up on some best practices. I also bought a few books on exposure and B/W, photojournalism and street...

Very good work indeed.
Very good processing as well. I have shot one roll of Delta 100 in my life. I gave it to Sam's Club to send out for processing. The experience made me want to throw out my 10 rolls of Delta 100 and never return to Sam's Club again. Your photos have convinved me to keep my 10 rolls of Delta 100 and develop them myself.
Thanks for sharing.

Excellent!
Beautiful, friendly capture of the girls that just shines back at you.
The tunnel draws you into itself.
That lens is a keeper by the look of it. Looking forward to seeing some wide open shots.

Wayne, John, Zuiko, Randy, thanks for the feedback~
I bought the Delta 100 after reading a RFF member recommend it actually...
Currently running a roll of Fuji Super G through it, we'll see how it turns out.
