What's the problem with it?

The focus stops between 2m and 1.5m and was loosend by too much pressure trying to unscrew a lens hood, otherwise it takes good photos.I want to do some portraits and will not be able to get close enough.and it doesn't line up on the camera straight.Spyderman said:What's the problem with it?

Don't get this one... Perhaps the old grease... I guess the lens needs cleaning the focusing helical and new grease. You can find the tutorial at http://www.pentax-manuals.com/repairs.htmThe focus stops between 2m and 1.5m
No problem, just tighten it enough so that the red dot next to aperture ring lines up with the red focusing mark (line). If you want to do the relubing you will have to remove the optical block anyway.was loosend by too much pressure trying to unscrew a lens hood
I guess you mean that the focus mark isn't at 12 o'clock position. The same with mine on Bessa R. This doesn't matter really...it doesn't line up on the camera straight
Try the relube procedure. With the manual it really isn't that complicated. Without the manual I would be completely lost. Give it a chance... You'll be proud of yourself that you managed to do it by yourself

My wife will kill me but if you get stuck and are happy to pay the shipping across the pond, I can have a lok at it.
