Congrates and the best of luck. I hope to see some pictures at the next meet-up. Say hello the the Mayor next time you see him.

BTW I found a meter that is less than a cubic inch. A dream will come true: you will be able to take a meter reading on your M6 without looking into the VF. My gift to you. Comes with a little case to attach to your camera strap, requires no batteries, and is made by Voightlander.

REMINDER: COLLECTABLE LEICA DOOR PRIZES will be given away that date back to 97-98.

I may not be able to make it this time... please make this a monthly event all. Once the weather gets nice, we can even do it outdoors.

I can't believe this. I won't be able to make it because I had a last-minute rehearsal scheduled around that time. I took this gig playing double bass for an African dance group and apparently that evening will be the only time they can rehearse in the performance space. This sucks. Really wanted to meet everyone. I guess I'll have to wait until the next one. :(

Not to worry. It seems us New Yorkers are pretty hard core and there is a very high likelyhood of a big turnout.

I'm sure there will be future meet-ups. See you soon next meet-up.

36-hour bump

36-hour bump

Just a reminder that this Saturday is the RFF meetup in NYC so folks can make plans with a little time to spare.

The details:

Where? Lorely at 7 Rivington St

When? Saturday, Jan 23 at 3:00 p.m.

What? Bring some photos to share.

Bring some photos to share. Or not. Just show up. :)

Another bump and a reminder, I'm in the process of downsizing, there will be at least three Leica collectable door prises and other free stuff given away.

My appointment was cancelled so I won't be late. Now I can gather more stuff to recycle and stop my hoarding.

Great gathering. Rare to be with so many people who are similarly passionate about their work. Thanks everyone for sharing your gear, advice and images.

Whew...what an afternoon!

Firstly, apologies for my arriving quite late: I nearly missed Helen, who playfully chided my tardiness. I promise to me more timely next time!

To everyone there: it was truly a blast. I was quite pleasantly surprised at the turnout, several tables taken up by RFf'ers and company, more M-cameras on hand than the mind can comfortably accommodate (hell, I got to play with an M9, at last), and just big-time conviviality. A shout out to Damaso and Michel, and a special shout to someone (Calzone, I think!) who left his page of Ektachromes in my hands by mistake: let me know how to get them back to you!

I absolutely am in for this next month. Y'all rock. :)

Carl, I already sent you a friend request :)

Look forward to the next one... I know I talked with some of you about maybe setting up a Meetup.com group ... if anyone is interested, I sure am!

and Thanks to Damaso for the door prize!

Thanks for Damaso organizing this. It was great, there were a lot of valuable on the table, think about a robbery-:)

Hope this can be a regular thing going forward. May I suggest RFF setup a meet link on the left.

Best,
