Jeff Ascough under NDA for new Rangefinder

Non Disclosure Agreement.

There's usually money involved for keeping quiet.

not so, lots of NDA where there is no cash consideration...we are all speculating, but Jeff may be receiving cash or he may be given a pre-production version to test in exchange for his input and a NDA to keep his mouth shut since the camera is still in beta mode...

I've never heard of or been involved in an NDA that offered money.........

Not saying there aren't any but I've never heard of that.

NDA is used to keep a person quite while they test equipment for a manufacturer or if they are making something for the new item.

If he said completely new I'd guess its completely new. I also imagine it's going to be a few months until even another little bit of info is leaked. So I'm not going to worry about it. It's probably a marketing ploy like someone said before. Leica did the same thing awhile before the M9.

Yeah but who cares if it's a marketing ploy???

It's a new rangefinder, that's not news you hear everyday or even every year!

Canon won't do M4/3, its not their format. Anything less than full frame is dead in the water since the M9 hit the streets.

Sony's got everything it takes: CMOS technology in full frame, Hexar technology from Konica (-Minolta), a connection with Zeiss for lenses.

Either Sony, or its not a true rangefinder. Might be branded a Zeiss-Ikon, but still sony-built then.

Lets wait and see, with the M9 I was completely wrong! 😀
