Hey there,

I've been using a Jobo CPA 2 for a long time and I quite like it, yet I'd like to use it without a lift also but I don't quite understand how that's supposed to work. The pictures I've seen show the drum installed with the other end pointing towards the left, how do you attach the drum that way? Also, without the rails, how do you keep the drum level?

Is there some sort of conversion kit?

i haven't used a cpa-2 without the lift, but the unit i bought came with a magnet you can attach to the bottom of the tank. it also came with another magnet that looks like it can attach to the cog that rotates on the cpa-2. so you mate the bottom of the tank to the cog magnetically, which is why the tank looks reversed from how you process with the lift.

also, jobo used to sell rollers that you can place under the tank when you don't use the lift. the rollers have two positions, one for 1500 tanks and one for 2500 tanks. i got a set on the auction site a few weeks ago, i'm not sure you can get them from jobo any more.

i think it's that simple, but i've always used the lift.
