My Jobo 1510 has slots in the core part that let air escape as you pour liquids in. As I discovered last night, my 1520's core lacks these, and consquently pouring the chemicals in is a real pain, as you have to wait for large bubbles to make there way up through the core, rather than having air escape steadily from the top. I can fill the 1510 in 5 or 10 seconds whilst the 1520 takes around 30 or more, which a)bores me and b)messes with my timing.
Are all 1520s like this? I bought mine used so I've no idea how old it is, but the problem is annoying enough that I'd like to buy a new, improved core if such a thing is available. Alternatively I could take a knife and/or drill to it but there's a fair chance of that going wrong and creating a light leak.
By the way, here's a frame from the roll I was doing last night - my first time developing 120. This is my mother on HP5, in ID-11. The camera is an MPP Microcord, wide open at f/3.5.

Thanks,
Matthew

Sorry, no idea about the Jobo, but I really like that picture.

Is it plastic? If so, drill some holes!

Sure it's plastic, but it would very easy to make a mess. To keep the tank light-proof I would really need to cut a sort of L-shaped groove for the bit where the core meets the lid, and then drill lower down. I could probably do it but I'd rather not have to.

Reciprocity Failure
My 1520 is the same as yours, from the sound of it. But none of my of my other jobo cores have the slots, so I can't tell exactly how difficult they would be to replicate. Or if the styles are interchangeable (getting a new core).
