Joe,
You've been pretty active the during the last day or so; please don't let responding to our sympathies push you any further than you should for your required rest and recovery. Take the time you need for yourself. My concern is motivated entirely out of selfishness: I want to see you around for yet a great many years!!! (I'll have my morning toast with no butter in your honor; tomorrow or maybe the day after I'll stop putting heavy cream in my espresso 😉)

believe me, i won't be pushed around by others.
it's me i'm discovering that i need to worry about.

NOT doing stuff is already driving me crazy.
but i'm limiting my time on the net, sitting upright makes my incision sore and the stairs to the basement (where the computer is) need to be taken more slowly than i normally would.
as the days pass i imagine i'll discover the do's and don'ts of better self care.
