How true! My little beast just jumped on the bed and attacked the stuffed puppy. Scared the heck out of my wife on the bedroom 'puter. I can't understand why my cat hates stuffed animals. She hates the teddy bear, the down-under bear and the big puppy doll. She doesn't play with them, just attacks like a wild cougar. My wife thinks there's something wrong with this cat...but I love her (the cat). 🙂

She was dumped off at Meow Aid when she was around 2, then 2 years after that I invited her home. It was Jan 1st when I got her and her name is Baby. She's almost 10 now. I believe she was born under the sign of the fish. (Baby was her name.) Baby is a lovely long-haired female cat. Oh, and beside dogs (real or stuffed) she attacks racoons as well. I don't know why. Oh-2, she attacks certain people also like this neighbour---went straight for her hair.

I'm beginning to develop a Minority Complex on two counts. First, while I have kept cats and got on well with them (one used to sleep on my backside, though I have no idea what that might have meant), at heart I'm a Puppy Person. Second, though I rode a friend's BMW 600 quite a bit around 30 years ago, my own bikes have been two Nortons, two BSAs, two Royal Enfields and one AJS. A water-cooled Velocette sneakily slipped out of my grasp. As did an M2.

This is a wonderfull tread, thanks Frank. With all this talk about our feline friends, I felt compelled to change my Avatar.

May I introduce "Sophie Cat" our current permanent house guest. She is a black persian, about 5 years old and a great source of amusement for our 2 grandsons, William and Harry.

I am one of those being addressed in the remarks by FrankS. And I have been re-considering, partly because of some very thoughtful and open PMs following my last post.

I like the comment about the cat avatars. I had to euthanize my elderly little pal last month, and though I still have my lovably goofy dog, I've lost my zen. I believe I'll try to find another zen kitty at the local shelter soon.

This AM I had a couple of external malignancies sliced out of me, and maybe some of my pent-up bile went with them. The fact is, there are many sharp, interesting, and clever people in this little community, and there's generally some comment from at least one of them which can elicit a smile.

One final point--I have to confess to a hopeless love for ugly bokeh; don't know why, but I like all the little ellipses and squiggles. Maybe I'm a closet impressionist.
